VIRGIN LOUNGE JOINS
CHICAGO'S ELITE NIGHTLIFE SCENE
CHICAGO (March 1, 2006) - Roger Greenfield and Ted Kasemir of Restaurants-America have opened Virgin Lounge at 123 N. Halsted in Chicago. Located around the corner from sister restaurant, Extra Virgin, Virgin Lounge caters to the late night crowd, offering tempting small plates, decadent desserts, bottle service, specialty cocktails and more.
Menu selections include Virgin Lounge's nightly selection of Caviar served with traditional accompaniments and chilled premium vodka (MKT); Charcuterie, the chef's private selection of pates and terrines served with rustic bread and stone-ground mustard ($15); and Tuna Crudo, sushi grade ahi tuna, chiles, peppers, olives and extra virgin olive oil ($12). There are also several dessert selections, including Pistachio Almond Mousse Cake served with créme anglaise and raspberry sauce ($8) and Milk Chocolate Banana Mousse, served with caramelized bananas and vanilla gelato ($8).
Dim lighting and plenty of large, cushy couches offer a great vantage point for people watching, as chill vibes thump through the sound system, creating a warm, clubby atmosphere that includes a large photographic mural of the bar's "resident virgin."
Virgin Lounge kicks off their grand opening with the following specials and promotions:
- Bottles of Ketel One Vodka for only $100 each
- "Bacardi on Ice," Thursday, March 9, 2006. Featuring a D.J., free appetizers, $3 Bacardi drink specials and a spectacular diamond earring giveaway. Admission is free. Party starts at 10 p.m.
